The Foreign Trade and Investment Institute of Castilla-La Mancha (IPEX) is organising the XXIII CLM International Contract Sector Conference in Toledo and Guadalajara on 18 and 19 October, respectively, between thirteen prestigious architecture firms, decorators and distributors from Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile and Spanish companies with international projects in such markets as the United States, China and Peru.

This event falls under the Contract Sector Plan and was launched by the Director-General for Enterprise of Castilla-La Mancha, Javier Rosell, alongside the Director of IPEX, Luis Noé, at a ceremony in Toledo that is ongoing and includes architect and project presentations, round table discussions and presentations on international experience by a craft business in the region. This networking event will be followed by more than 140 individual meetings between invited business ambassadors and companies, the largest ever number of meetings at such an event.

Over 20 furniture, lighting, aluminium profile, ceramic, door, home textile and craftwork manufacturers and interior designers from Castilla-La Mancha are taking part this year. The crafts sector is being represented by five companies offering premium products for unique architecture projects.

The event also includes a visit to three factories manufacturing products for the contract channel in the province of Guadalajara on 19 October.

This is the first face-to-face event aimed at international buyers organised by the IPEX since the start of the pandemic, and is taking place in the fourth quarter of 2021, when contract sector companies will also take part in direct trade missions in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay and the United States.
